Recycling
In compliance with the WEEE Regulations 2006 and response
to the NI Government’s drive for recycling & re-use,
AMI have put in place a fast and efficient IT & Electrical
Equipment Disposal Route. Our recycling methods already exceed
the standards in the Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006.
Electrical Equipment Recycling
All products with no resale value will be recycled. Some initial processing
is completed in Northern Ireland. The remaining recycling is carried out by
our WEEE recycling partner, after further dismantling all residual materials are sent for re-use.
AMI provide a service to recycle both Domestic and B2B Electrical Equipment. We currently provide recycling solutions for most Government Departments in Northern Ireland and collect from all 26 councils. We are working closely with the UK Producer Compliance Schemes to provide WEEE Evidence of environmental recycling. AMI provide collection logistics and processing of WEEE at their Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) outside Belfast.
Due to the record keeping systems in place the system is fully traceable from
collection to final dismantling. A ‘Certificate of Destruction’ is
included in the final report.
