Collections
All collections have a Waste Transfer Note Issued, on arrival at our warehouse all quantities and weights of equipment are recorded. This information is included in the final report.

We will also hold a record of the asset numbers recorded on the day of collection. This will either be a list generated by the Department and cross-referenced by AMI. If such a list is not made available by the department AMI will create a handwritten record, AMI will store this on file.

Asset Register

An asset register is created for all large items processed, keyboards, mice and cables are not registered unless specifically requested. This register is based upon a bar-code generated by AMI. The information recorded would include: Date of collection Place of origin Unit Type/Make & Model Method of Data Removal Time & Date of Data Removal Asset Tag & Serial Number of Unit Details of Unit  - Processor/Ram/HDD  - CD (Y/N), SND (Y/N)  - Screen Size  - Working (Y/N) Destination of Unit – Remarketing/Recycling

This report will be provided in electronic format by email and then also compiled as a hard copy in the final report.

Blancco Verification Report

The Infosec Standard 5, recommends that a verification report is generated for Baseline Standard over-writing and stipulates such a report must be generated for the Enhanced Standard. Blancco Data Cleaner is the only currently available COTS over-writing product which creates a suitable verification report. The report verifies that all addressable areas have been over-written. It reports any bad or unusable sectors that cannot be overwritten. Verification of successful secure erasure is carried out for all clearing & purging instances. The Asset Tag of each unit and the AMI Bar-Code is also entered into this report to allow for cross-referencing between the two reports. This type of report is optional but strongly recommended for any overwriting carried out to the ‘Baseline Standard’. This type of verification report is mandatory for all ‘Enhanced Standard’ of overwriting. Blancco Data Cleaner is the only product listed in the CESG Directory of Infosec Assured Products tested to meet these verification requirements.
